Quick shoot with Greta in an abandoned part of the harbor before it's torn down.
Greta wanted me to use film, so I experimented a bit. I just received a scanner - which is pretty old and apparently creates light leaks? - but I still like the results.
Shot on M9-P and M4-P with 35mm and 50mm Summilux ASPH
Before Ella and I were in London on a short weekend trip, I decided to write Dee to arrange a shoot.
We didn't really have much time, as it was our last day in London and we wanted to spend more time exploring.. Dee also didn't have much time and I was about to call the shoot off.
I'm glad that Ella convinced me to shoot despite having little time and these are the result of our 60 minute or so shoot.
I couldn't be happier with the results and am looking forward to working with the incredibly talented and beautiful Dee again!
This is part one, the second part is a lot greener - everything shot with my M9 and 35mm Summilux Asph.
A quick meetup during the G20 summit and surprisingly good weather with Friederike.
I was planning on going to the spring festival of Calumet, being tired and in a hurry, I didn't realise that it was the day after.
Arriving in Altona without really having anything to do, I hit up Bella.
On her way to university we had around 20 minutes to kill .. so we used them to take a couple of snaps...
A quick cigarette with Greta, well I don't smoke, but I did take the pictures...
A few quick shots with the beautiful Delaney, running around Bushwick with my S. Converted to b/w in Lightroom.
Just a five minute shoot with Renate while being exhausted and not really having good weather or the right clothes.
My first trip out of the city in a few month - despite wanting to travel more, I just didn't find the time.
Ella and I decided on going to a theme-park near Hamburg. I knew there was a lot of green spots around, but I wanted to shoot have more of a dried out western 70s style american look to it. The Levi's shirt was the only thing kind of working for that, so that's what I told her to pack.
Besides my trusty M9 I was finally able to try out my brand new DJi Mavic. I only took a few pictures and didn't really use it much, but it was a lot of fun!
To be continued....
My second shoot - or rather hang-out - with Karen. This time we chose "Planten un Bloomen" to run around and take pictures while enjoying the sun.
Home Shoot with the wonderful Hannah and her flowery body suit.
This was one of the first sunny and reasonably warm days of spring in Hamburg.
I also got a new lens the day before, so I just had to go out and shoot.
Lili agreed to be the one testing with me - so we just walked around the Alster for a couple of hours...
We were in luck, as it was basically the first nice day of spring in Hamburg - the sun was out and it wasn't that cold.
There are a couple of sets that I'll upload, this one was the most casual one, walking from the Schanze through Altona, towards the harbor...
I found Lili on instagram and asked if she was interested in a spontaneous shoot.
Forward one day and I'm sitting in her apartment eating Pizza, drinking Mate and taking Pictures ... there is also a plush Fish somewhere in this story .. more of that soon.
I used multiple Cameras and a couple of vintage lenses on this shoot, the light kept changing as well - so there are quite a few different looks which I didn't entirely match ... but I still think it fits
Out and about in the ghetto with Isabell, an Astra and a rad denim jacket!
Shot with M9 and 35mm Summilux
Spontaneous natural light photoshoot with the absolutely gorgeous Mirabell around my studio....
Leica M9 and 35mm Summilux Asph
I found Ella through instagram and had been talking to her for a couple of weeks before we finally found a date to shoot on.
We were pretty damn lucky, as the weather couldn't have been better. So far it was the nicest day of the year with temperatures around 20 degrees, lots of sun, endless blue sky and hardly any wind.
Apart from the weather and the pictures, Ella is probably the best company one can imagine.
Another day, another shoot - this time with Amira - also Paragon Models.
This whole thing is kind of picking up - and getting a lot more fun at the same time!
The second Set with Ida, shot around my workplace/ Studio.
I usually try to avoid shooting here, since I feel I have used the area extensively and try to not repeat myself too much. However, the Sun was out and it made everything look and feel different.
As Ida has such an amazing silhouette, it was fun playing with shadows, light, contrast and the shape of her face ...
Quick test shoot with Antonia on her roof top in Hamburg.
Didn't have my M9 and Summilux, so I had to work with an M 240, modern Summilux and mid day sun .... harsh light, sharp lenses and a terrible ND filter ... not the best of conditions.
